Flora Europaea annual, biannual, T, TH, 2n=27,36, triploid, tetraploid mesoxeric to mesic, ruderal and segetal Nearctis steppic Artemisietea, Arction, Sisymbrion, Calystegion sepium, Salicetea, Alno-Padion (ruderal invader), Stellarietea mediae, Dauco-Melilotion R87 habitats         A ruderal from North America which became widespread in Europe only beginning with the limit between the XVIIIth and XIXth century. The subspecies seemingly gradually replaced in the XXth century the 'typical' species which has light blue or light purple ligules. Nima, Cluj county, August 2009 dr.
